Really Cool Bond Chase Scenes

There have been so many Bond chase sequences involving cars, planes, tanks and even hovercraft, what are the best ones.

Goldeneye- Tank

How about starting with the one that I love the most, the huge tank scene from Goldeneye. This was a fantastic chase scene that went through the streets of Russia with bond behind the wheel of a tank. If I am not mistaken this is the first and last time Bond had managed to get into a tank, an awesome scene without doubt. The only real reason that this one is my favourite is because it was the film that I grew up watching however I will say that Sean Connery is easily my favourite Bond and I never had a liking for Moore.

Casino Royale- Madacascar

This was done to get the watchers attention, and it did just this proving to be the start of a very good filmq. Facing a rogue bomber he chases him across the streets and jumps across buildings, streets and even climbs and jumps off a crane. This scene ends rather spectacularly with an explosion within an embassy landing Bond in bit of trouble just after he is given his 00 license.

Goldfinger

This is the classic on the list and my favourite one from the Connery era. This one features a guy throwing a hat and killing someone, smokescreen?s, ejector seats and a machine gun firing granny! Surely these things alone make it a fantastic chase scene! Cars were totalled, people are killed and Bond narrowly escapes death as he swerves and crashes into the side of a building.

The World Is Not Enough- Thames

Although I really liked the film, many Bond fans didn’t think ti was very good at all and thought that this scene was the only decent one. Although not as bad as the really terrible, Die Another Day, there was something about this film that just didn?t do it for many Bond fans. On the other hand the River Thames Boat scene was brilliant and featured machine guns, a very high tech boat that could dive underwater for a few seconds and one of the first occasions we see Bond getting injured and not getting up after five minutes.

It has to be said that the next Bond scene will be one to watch as they now have the really big budget on them thanks the the franchise being put back on track after the poor Die Another Day.

So although it isn?t likely that we are going to see bond go out and get Large Van Lease or Luton Van Lease the next Bond chase could be a cracker. Surely he has Bad Credit Car Loans

The Indian Runner: A temperamental piece in reference to a youthful gentleman’s efforts to comprehend, and get closer to, his brother who’s just returned from Vietnam. The film is lazy at times, however filled with feeling and reality, and is relatively moving. Hefty acting jobs all around, with unconventional although powerful projecting of Bronson as the boys’ depressed dad. Down to You: Prinze and Stiles futilely try to buddy us up by talking straight away into the camcorder, clarifying how their once idyllic college romance went bust (albeit not as bust as the film). Black Windmill the Dracula: This is a classic terror film of the Transylvanian vampire performing his malevolent spell on puzzled group of Londoners. Lugosi’s most renowned role with his definitive explanation of the Tally, ditto Frye as loony Renfield and Van Sloan as unflappable Professor Van Helsing. Cast includes Bela Lugosi, David Behaviors, Helen Chandler, Dwight Frye, Edward Van Sloan, Herbert Bunston, and Frances Dade. (75 minutes,’31)

Cry Freedom: An empathetic film in dealing with the life of South African activist Steve Biko (well played by Washington) and his kinship with crusading newspaper editor Donald Woods (Kline). Regrettably the second half of film, minus the Biko personality, loses itself as it invests too much time on Kline as he and his family flees from South Africa. Cast includes Kevin Kline, Penelope Wilton, Denzel Washington, Kevin McNally, John Defrost, Timothy West, Juanita Waterman, John Hargreaves, Alec McCowen, Zakes Mokae, and Ian Richardson. (157 minutes,’87)

Sugar Cane Alley: A beautifully made, heartfelt drama in regards to an 11-year-old boy and his all sacrificing nana, getting by in a Martinique shantytown throughout the’30s. The film is a humanist drama of the highest request. Cast includes Precious Legitimus, Garry Cadenat, Routa Seck, Joby Bernabe, and Francisco Charles. (107 minutes,’84)

For Me and My Gal: Music maintains the style of vaudeville couple decided to play Palace, circa WWI. Kelly’s film debut, and he and Garland harmonize title tune and other old top choices. Cast includes Judy Garland, George Murphy, Gene Kelly, Marta Eggerth, Ben Blue, Horace McNally, Keenan Wynn, Sandra Goldbacher, and Richard Quine. (104 minutes,’42)
